Responsible for leading and coordinating hourly work groups comprised of operators and support functions in meeting and exceeding company safety, quality, and delivery goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 Safety: Leads work group by maintaining a safe workplace to ensure zero safety incidents.
 Quality: Leads work group in achieving internal quality targets and zero customer defects.
 Delivery: Leads work group in meeting daily delivery and production targets.
 Communication: Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. Motivates individuals to meet and exceed manufacturing goals. Communicates work place incidents, issues, performance, and problems to manufacturing leader and other management personnel in a timely manner.
 Employee Relations: Treats all employees with respect and dignity. Acts in an ethical and non-discriminatory manner.
 Lean / Continuous Improvement: Facilitates process improvement by promoting and implementing 6-S, lean, six-sigma, and kaizen methods and techniques.
 Planning: Coordinates production work on a daily basis. Assigns individual job tasks. Coordinates daily with manufacturing leader, scheduler, and material planner to ensure required components and supplies are on hand to facilitate product build and work flow. Coordinates with maintenance in machine uptime optimization, downtime repair, and preventative maintenance. Coordinates with utility, shipping / receiving and other support functions to meet internal logistics demands and ensure proper product workflow.
 Reporting: Prepare daily manufacturing reports. Completes safety incident reports and other reports as required.
 Other: Work on production line when required. ATF material possessor. Other duties as required.

Physical Demands:
 Same as General Machine Operator.
 Ability to lift 40 lbs.
 Repeated reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, walking, and stretching.
 Occasional crawling and heavy lifting.

Qualifications:
 Demonstrated history of above average attendance.
 Experience running multiple operations.
 Team player with a demonstrated positive attitude.
 Must be able to “think on your feet”. Assess problems/issues and take immediate corrective action.
 Willingness to learn six-sigma and lean manufacturing methods and techniques during his/her own time.
 Proficient computer skills
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 Demonstrated mathematical, cognitive, and reasoning ability.

Essential Functions:
• Observe and adhere to all safe work practices as required

Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline and five (5) years of progressive responsibilities in a high volume manufacturing environment (welding, machining, scheduling, directing the maintenance activity for manufacturing equipment and facilities).

Description:
Responsible for the direct/indirect supervision and training of the manufacturing staff on assigned shift. Assures production and maintenance schedules are met, works with employees in maintaining good labor relations. During off shifts and weekends in the absence of higher supervision, is in charge of the plant
1. Directly/indirectly supervises all manufacturing staff; maintenance, janitorial and production on assigned shift.
2. Resolves conflict within shifts as necessary and takes emergency action as required.
3. In the absence of higher supervision, for example, on weekends and second and third shifts, act as senior management person on the plant.
4. Trains employees in hazard recognition and safe work practices.
5. Trains production employees in machine operation and procedures.
6. Responsible to ensure on-going improvement in internal and external quality levels.
7. Recognizes and takes proactive role in correcting or changing conditions to ensure a safe work environment.
8. Coordinates improvements to work areas to improve productivity, enhance quality levels, reduce scrap, and minimize work-in-progress within established guidelines.
9. Maintain good labor relations with employees in accordance with plant rules and regulations.
10. Reviews and submits time charges and labor allocations.
11. Supports and participates in cross-functional team activities.
12. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
